Are you a compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? A warm, inclusive infant school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 team. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll make a genuine impact on pupils’ independence, confidence, and day-to-day learning experience. Your responsibilities include: • Supporting mobility, access, and independence around an accessible classroom • Following physio and occupational therapy programmes (training provided) • Learning manual handling routines and maintaining safe practices • Providing calm, nurturing support to pupils with physical and cognitive needs • Offering “helicopter-style” support across the class, including ASC pupils • Responding quickly, asking questions when unsure, and working collaboratively What we’re looking for: • Understanding of physical disability and wheelchair-user support • Familiarity with manual handling (training can be provided) • Experience with ASC / SEMH is beneficial • A nurturing, proactive approach and willingness to learn Training & Compliance: • School-led epilepsy refresher training • Paediatric First Aid desirable (covers EpiPen & seizures) If you’re ready to support pupils who truly benefit from dedicated, caring adults, we’d love to hear from you.
